Rattlers get two second half goals to earn draw with the Lions

It was a beautiful fall afternoon in Medicine Hat as the hometown Rattlers hosted the visiting Ambrose University Lions in ACAC soccer action. The Lions hit the scoreboard first when Matthew Smith scored in the 13th minute. The teams played a tight back and forth match that ended at halftime with the Lions leading 1-0. The Rattlers came out of the break looking to tie things up but in the 62nd minute, Nic Lyons scored to gve the Lions a 2-0 lead. The Rattlers picked upthe tempo and were finally rewarded in the 69th minute when Felix Danquah sprinted down the flank and buried his shot to pull the Rattlers within one. Just three minutes later, Jire Nzeyimana tied the game on a beautiful strike. Both teams spent the remainder of the game looking for the winner but when the final whistle blew the game ended knotted at 2. Matthew Smith was the ACAC Player of the Game for Ambrose while Jire Nzeyimana earned the honours for the Rattlers. The Lions moved to 0-5-1 on the season and the Rattlers improved to 0-3-3.
