Men's Soccer TKU Eagles vs CUE Thunder

On September 12, the King's University Eagles men's soccer team took on Concordia Thunder at 5:45 p.m. at the King's University soccer pitch. 

First Half Highlights:

The match kicked off with strong defensive play from Concordia Thunder. #9 Sam Viera and #8 Carlos Echeverria both stood out with solid defensive efforts, while Keenan Henderson impressed with his control and skillful footwork in the midfield.

The Eagles quickly found their rhythm. #4 Spencer Pangilinan displayed excellent footwork and attacking presence, supported by #5 Matthew Easaw's offensive pressure. In goal, #1 Miles McConaghy came up with a crucial save early in the half to keep the Thunder off the scoreboard. The Eagles' passing game was led by #7 Selemani Seif Jr., who created opportunities with slick footwork and vision. TKU took the lead when #15 Noah Bilodeau confidently converted a penalty, giving the Eagles a 1–0 edge going into halftime.

Second Half Highlights:

Concordia came out determined after the break. #6 Steve Bustamante showcased sharp footwork and attacking intent, while defenders #4 Eli Nyathl and #7 Omar Martinez held the back line strong. #8 Carlos Echeverria continued to make an impact with his technical skill and offensive drive.

The Eagles, however, continued to dominate the scoreboard. #10 Patrick Oliveria applied consistent offensive pressure, and it paid off when #7 Selemani Seif Jr. scored with a composed finish, assisted by #12 Enzo Niyongbo. Later, Oliveria added a goal of his own—this time with a slick assist from Seif Jr.—to seal the 3–0 victory for The King's.

Goalkeeper #1 Matthew Easaw stood strong in the net, making key saves to preserve the clean sheet.

Concordia Thunder: 0

Both teams demonstrated heart and hustle throughout the match, but it was The King's University Eagles who walked away with the win, thanks to strong teamwork, excellent passing, and critical finishing.
