Game 12

A packed and energetic crowd created a championship atmosphere as the Medicine Hat College (MHC) Rattlers and the NAIT Ooks battled for the ACAC men's soccer title. With the stands overwhelmingly in favour of the near-hometown Rattlers, both teams came out strong in an intense, back-and-forth opening half. After the 15-minute mark, NAIT began to take control, applying sustained offensive pressure and forcing Rattlers goalkeeper #25 Stefan Vrska (second year, Regina, Sask.) to make several key saves to keep the match scoreless. Both sides exchanged quality chances, but neither team could break through before halftime.

In the second half, NAIT finally opened the scoring in the 53rd minute when #9 Jameson Kiezik (second year, Edmonton, Alta.) found the net off a well-placed assist from #2 Patrick Culshaw (second year, Edmonton, Alta.). The goal shifted momentum firmly in NAIT's favor as the Ooks continued to press offensively.

Tensions rose after the 65th minute as the physicality intensified, with both teams battling fiercely for every loose ball. Despite a strong late push from the Rattlers, NAIT goalkeeper #29 Parys Ona MacArthur (fifth year, Sherwood Park, Alta.) stood tall, making several outstanding
saves to preserve the lead.

When the final whistle blew, the NAIT Ooks celebrated their second consecutive ACAC championship, successfully defending the title in a thrilling, hard-fought match against a determined Medicine Hat squad.
