Eagles defeat Rustlers 3-1

The King's Eagles defeated the Lakeland Rustlers in 4 sets (23-25, 25-15, 25-19, 25-17) in Lloydminster Saturday night.  

The teams would go back and forth for the first set, with the teams tying the score at 20.  The Eagles took a 22-20 lead, but the Rustlers would respond and take a 23-22 lead.  The Rustlers would hang on to win 25-23.  The Eagles came out strong in the second set and led 12-4.  The Eagles would remain in control for the rest of the set, taking a 16-9 lead before going on to win 25-15.  The teams would go back and forth to start the third set before the Eagles opened up a 13-10 lead.  The Eagles would then extend their lead to 18-13 before winning the set, 25-19.  The Rustlers took a 3-1 lead to start the fourth set, but the Eagles responded, taking a 12-9 lead.  The Eagles wouldn't look back, taking a 20-12 lead before winning the set, 25-17.

Player of the Game for the Rustlers was #11, Torin Johre.  Player of the Game for the Eagles was #13, Tyssen Vooed.
