Lakeland Rustlers take a win against the Visiting King's Eagles
The Lakeland Rustlers came out strong and held a lead through out the first set. An impressive play made by the Rustlers libero number 7 Jean Carlos Funez with a diving dig resulting in a kill for the Rustlers for the 23 point in the first set was just one one many displays of athleticism for both teams. The Rustlers take the first set from the visiting King's Eagles. It was a back and forth start to the second set, both teams trading points. Number 12 Alexei Walisser with a couple of dominate kills for the Rustlers give them a lead mid set. The Eagles struggle with a few back to back errors which allow the Rustlers to pull ahead. Strong offence comes from the Rustlers as well a couple helpful blocks allows them to take the second set 25-16 from the Eagles. The Rustlers contiune with their dominate performance with the Rustlers at 21 in the last set the Eagle were behind but were able to chip away at the Rustlers to close the gap. The Rustler however take the final set 25-21. Player of the game for the visiting King's Eagles #7 Matthew Pulyk with 1 kill and for the Lakeland Rustlers #2 Jose Arellano with 27 assissts and digs.
