Keegan Kuhr Named ACAC 2018-19 Men’s North Volleyball Coach of the Year

Edmonton, AB (February 25, 2019) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is proud to announce Keegan Kuhr of the Keyano College Huskies has been named the ACAC Men's Volleyball Coach of the Year.

Keegan Kuhr began his head coaching career at Keyano College in 2013/14 after having been an assistant coach with the team for the previous two years. During the regular season, Keegan's team has finished first in the ACAC North for the past two years.

In 2016-2017, his team won a bronze medal at the ACAC Championship. In both 2015-2016 and 2017-2018, his teams were awarded a silver medal at the ACAC Championship. In 2017-18, for the second time in a row, the team headed to CCAA Nationals where they finished 3rd, earning the first ever Bronze medal in Men's Volleyball for Keyano College.

"Keyano Huskies Athletics and Keyano College are proud of Keegan and that he has been voted the 2019 ACAC Men's Volleyball Coach of the Year", says Jonathan Lambert, Director of Athletics, Sport and Student Wellness at Keyano College. "The Men's Volleyball program have thrived under Keegan's leadership and has become one of the top programs in the country. Recently, Keegan celebrated his 100th win at Keyano College; an accomplishment that is magnified by the fact that he is only in his sixth year as Keyano's head coach. His student athletes continue to do great things on the court and in the classroom. The future is indeed bright for our Men's Volleyball program with Keegan at the helm."
