The King's University Eagles' first game of the weekend was versus the Concordia Thunder. The Eagles are looking to continue their winning streak, while the Thunder are looking to get their first win of the season.

In the first set, the Eagles came out strong, as their offence looked to firing on all cylinders. The Thunder did not give up as they tried to storm their way back. But the Eagles offence was just too much to handle as the Eagles took the set 25-17.
In the second set, the Thunder were able to regroup as they came out with an early lead. The Eagles were not going to let the Thunder run away with the set, as they were able to come back. Neither team looked to give the other the upper hand, as they traded points. The Eagles were able to dig deep as they took the tight set, 25-23.
In the third set, the tight match continued as both teams traded the first 18 points of the set. The Thunder were able to gain a lead as they took 5 straight points. With their backs against the wall the Eagles fought their way back, taking some big points late in the set. Now with all the momentum on their side, the Eagles were able to finish the set, 25-23, and take the match in straight sets. 

The Eagles will be looking to finish their weekend with a sweep as they take on the Concordia Thunder once more, November 10, @ 6pm at Concordia University.
