The Wolves welcomed the Augustana Vikings to their gym for a pair of weekend games. Wolves were looking for a win after dropping a pair to Concordia last weekend.

First on the board are the Vikings. They take an early 8-2 lead. Wolves stay in the set, apply pressure and come within 5. 10-15. Vikings continue to run the offense and take a 7 point lead. A big block by Justice Bigstone and the Wolves are within 4. GPRC couldn't find the inbound line and the Vikings take a big lead, and win the set 25:18.

Vikings take the first 3 points with #9 Greg Kaliel serving. Erik Salamon takes over the serving at 3-1 Wolves. Justice Bigstone gets a tip to work and the score goes 4-2 Vikings. #5 Andrew Fogle serves for a couple points for the Wolves. A long impressive rally ends with a point Vikings. Tristan Moon has a couple big kills to tie the set at 18. The Vikings find another mode and steal 4 straight points and go up 22:28. Sam Tu'ivai calls a timeout.  The Vikings take a few more points out of the time out to win 25:19.

3rd set was back and forth right through to 10 points. Wolves find another gear and pull ahead by 13:11. An attempted kill goes out of bounds for the Wolves and the set is tied at 13. #9 Tom Wheeler has a huge kill to put the Wolves back up by 2. For the Vikings #14 Connor Sinnamon serves for a couple points to tie the game back up at 16. Wolves dig deep and go up by another 2, 18:16. Coach Stephen Leggitt calls a time out for the Vikings. They come out hungry and score a couple big ones. Wolves respond with a couple and the score is tied back at 23. The set ends 25:23 for the Wolves. Vikings lead 2:1

In the 4th the Wolves take an early lead 3-1. Vikings respond with some big kills and make it 4-3 Wolves. 3 straight points from the Vikings and the Wolves call time out and out of the time out Tom Wheeler has a huge block to earn a point. Right after #16 Tristan Moon puts one away on a huge block to tie the game. Both teams battle hard and the Vikings go up 2. Wolves battle for their 2. A back and forth set, tied at 18. #16 Tristan Moon finds a way to put 2 more points away, resulting in a time out for the Vikings. Wolves go up 20:18. Another battle at the net improves the Wolves to 23:20 and the Head Coach for the Vikings needs a timeout. The Wolves finish the set with a successful block to win 25:20. Match tied at 2.

5th set is once again close. Both teams rally back and forth. Sides were switched 8-6 for Vikings. Wolves rally back to tie the game at 9. #8 Ryan Schwindt serves for 3 straight points and the Vikings need a 2 minute talk. Out of the time out Tom Wheeler comes up with a huge block. Vikings answer back with 2 big points, 13:11 Vikings, before Wolves call a time out. Wolves couldn't close the set and the Vikings win 15:12 and take the match 3:2.

Player of the Game for the Augustana Vikings was #13 Duncan McDonald with 9 kills and for the GPRC Wolves #16 Tristan Moon with 10 kills.
