The NAIT Ooks men's volleyball team played against the Lakeland College Rustlers on Friday evening. The Ooks won the match 3-1. 


The first set started remarkably close between the Ooks and the Rustlers. Both teams had some strong attacks and blocks. At around 10-10, the Ooks began to pull ahead and win the first set 25-17.


The second set had a close start like the first as they stayed 1-2 points within each other. NAIT Ooks Outside Hitter, Carter Hills, scored three points in a row for his team with a strong kill followed by two aces. He is one of the leaders in the ACAC for both kills per set and service aces per set. Ooks won the second set 25-17, leading 2-0.


The third set was close throughout, with the Rustlers winning 25-22. Both teams played very well as they made many successful kills and blocks. After the third set, the Ooks were still winning the match 2-1.


The fourth set continued to be close between the Ooks and the Rustlers. The Ooks are able to widen their lead against the Rustlers, winning the set 25-17.


The players of the game were #8 Winston Voogd from the Ooks and #7 Jake Willick from the Rustlers.
