Broncos Men’s Volleyball takes MHC in three sets

Olds, AB

The Olds College Broncos won 3-0 over the Medicine Hat Rattlers (25-17, 25-20, 25-20) on Friday, February 4, 2022  at the Ralph Klein Centre.

Broncos take an early lead over the Rattlers in the first set. The Broncos played very strong at the net seeing Seth Muller, Braden Bates and Matheus Franca dominating. The Rattlers worked hard and with Jovan Stepanovic and Nathan Chenik playing well up front. The Broncos took the first set 25-17 over the Ratters. 

The second set the Ratters bite back and make the Broncos work hard throughout the set. Mitchell Beaupre did a great job setting up his teammates and libero Jay Hill worked hard defending  in the back row. Broncos Reed Grusing played very well at the net as well as Braden Bates, Aidyn Phillips and Phillip Sutherland. Broncos strong presences at the net allow them to take the second set 25-20. 

Aidyn Phillips was successful at the serving line for the Broncos while his teammate continues to dominate at the net. Brady Burkitt and Jovan Stepanovic have some great kills for the Rattlers. While Ty Moline keeps the positive energy going for the Rattlers. Tonight the Broncos were stronger and won the third set 25-20. 

The player of the game for the Medicine Hat Rattlers was number 2 Jovan Stepanovicl and the player of the game for the Olds College Broncos was number 5, Aidyn Phillips.
