MVB| Kodiaks Complete 3 Set Comeback to Beat Briercrest Clippers 3 Sets to 2

Kodiaks looked to bounce back after last weekends loss against SAIT Trojans

Both the Kodiaks and the Clippers were very productive offensively as both teams climbed up the scoreboard. The Clippers were on top throughout the set, but the Kodiaks made a push late in the set to try and get ahead of Briercrest but came up short as the Clippers took the 1st set 25-18.

The Kodiaks had a slow start to the 2nd set but were able to gain traction about halfway through as they tried to catch up to the Clippers and get out in front. The Kodiaks were able to get within a couple of points of the Clippers but were then quickly shut down by Briercrest by picking up crucial points at the end of the set to push the Clippers forward and take the 2nd set 25-19.

The Kodiaks knew it was do or die headed into the 3rd set as they were down 2 sets to 0. The Kodiaks had to step up their game and that's exactly what they did as Lethbridge came into the set flying picking up an early and big lead on the Clippers in hopes to turn this game around. The Clippers were caught off guard by the Kodiaks sudden burst of power as they struggled to find a way around the Kodiaks striking and blocking power. Briercrest tried to make a late push to try and end the game but getting back within a few points to try to get back in front, but the Kodiaks were able to prevail and kept Briercrest back as they took the 3rd set 25-23 giving the Kodiaks some hope headed into the 4th set.

The Kodiaks had the momentum headed into the 4th set coming off an exciting 3rd set. The Kodiaks had a chance to get back into the game and turn things around and the Clippers had to do whatever they could to shut Lethbridge down. The set went back and forth between the two teams as they tried to get in front of each other. Kodiaks Nolan Moes was electric throughout the set doing what he could to push his team ahead. The set was tied right up until the final points where it would be decided who wanted the set more. The Kodiaks proved that they would not back down as they sealed the deal taking the 4th set 25-23 with the match tied at 2 sets apiece.

With the game all tied at 2 sets, both teams knew they had to put it all on the line in order to come out on top. The Clippers and Kodiaks were neck and neck for the first half of the set keeping things tight. The Kodiaks would not back down being only a few points away from finishing the 3-set comeback. The Clippers had to give it their all if they wanted to win. The set was nothing but chaos and the Kodiaks showed that they deserved to win this match more than the Clippers as they took the 5th and final set 15-13 as the Kodiaks completed the Comeback winning the match 3 sets to 2.
