MVB| Kings Tame the Kodiaks as They Fall Short 3 Sets to 1

Kodiaks welcomed the Red Deer Kings to Kodiak Country in an afternoon showdown

Both the Kings and Kodiaks got straight to business after the first serve as they were trying to get the leap on the other team, Lethbridge and Red Deer were quick to run up the scoreboard with the Kodiaks staying out on top throughout. Kodiaks Jeremiah Bohnert was deemed an issue for the Kings as he was constantly putting up the wall to keep the Kings back. After a few misplays play the Kodiaks, Red Deer found room to jump out in front to take the lead which was enough to secure a 1^st set victory taking it 25-22.

The Kings took control of the 2^nd set early on catching the Kodiaks off guard giving Red Deer the perfect opportunity to strike and get ahead. Lethbridge struggled to regain their footing as the Kings ran away with the set leaving the Kodiaks in the dust. The Kings refused to let off the throttle, pushing Red Deer to take the 2^nd set 25-14.

The Kodiaks and Kings both showcased their impressive blocking and striking skills throughout the set as both teams exchanged points back and forth before Red Deer received a red card, changing the tides of the set. The Kodiaks took that opportunity and capitalized on it jumping ahead with the lead which was more than enough to push the Kodiaks to keep the game alive, taking the 3^rd set 25-20.

Red Deer got an early jump on the Kodiaks giving them the early lead while the Kodiaks looked for a way to get back on track. The Kings wouldn't slow down, only making it harder for the Kodiaks to get back into the game. The Kodiaks were unable to find something that worked leaving them exposed to Red Deer. The Kings managed to hold Lethbridge back as Red Deer closed out the set 25-18 and took the game 3 sets to 1.
