February 19, 2022- The Kodiaks were back in home action for their final home game of the season prepared to take on the Sait Trojans. Their standings were neck-n-neck, the Kodiaks were only ahead of them by a few set wins, this game ultimately determined who took the 3rd ranking going in playoffs.

The ACAC standings demonstrated how close this game was going to be as the teams fought tooth and nail for each point. The Trojans took the lead, looking to close out the first set, however; once Kodiaks' middle, Colby Lindseth came in to serve it changed the dynamic of the game. The Kodiaks took the first set 25-23.

As the game continued neither team carried dominance, making it difficult to determine who was going to take the second set. Trojans' outside, Mitch Newman achieved 6 kills for his team that ultimately determined the outcome of the second set as they took it with a score of 25-22. The Kodiaks were unable to maintain the momentum needed to give them a two-set win.

The Trojans came in strong, receiving an ace on their very first point. Kodiaks fought hard to find their footing, yet the Trojans took this opportunity to target their weak spots; determined to take the Kodiaks 3rd ranking spot on the ACAC standings. The Trojans came out successful with a score of 25-22, giving them a one-set lead to take the whole game.

Nevertheless, the Kodiaks were not prepared to hand over the game without a fight, they still had two sets to redeem themselves. They took this set to show Sait how they really play. The Trojans trailed close behind, however; the Kodiaks remained a couple steps ahead this time not allowing the Trojans to pass them. The Kodiaks took the fourth set 25-22 hopefully making the changes needed to win the fifth and final set.

The Kodiaks demonstrated their dominance right off the hop, securing the first point with a kill from Jeramiah Bohnert. However, no matter the effort the Kodiaks demonstrated the Trojans carried the momentum for majority of the set. The Trojans secured their team the 3rd spot in the ACAC standings with a score of 15-11 in the fifth set.
