NAIT Ooks Soar To Final Four
On Sunday evening, the NAIT Ooks competed against the Lakeland Rustlers in the ACAC semi-finals in the NAIT Gymnasium. The Ooks can move onto the final four weekend after winning 3-1 over the Rustlers.
The first set between the Ooks and the Rustlers was close as the service went back and forth for the first sixteen points. The Ooks gained the first two-point lead, but the Rustlers quickly recovered and took a five-point lead, 24-19. The Rustlers were able to win the set 25-21.
Rustlers lead 1-0 at the end of the first set.
The Ooks are able to redeem themselves in the second set by having a substantial lead over the Rustlers. The Ooks win the second set 25-14. After the second set, the match is now tied 1-1 for the Ooks and Rustlers.
In the third set, the Ooks are able to continue with their momentum from the second set. The Ooks had a ten-point lead over the Rustlers. However, the Rustlers are able to make a comeback and make it a one-point lead for the Ooks. The Ooks win the third set 25-22. The Ooks have a 2-1 lead after the third set over the Rustlers.
The Ooks hold onto their winning momentum to win the fourth set, 25-22. It was a close one between the Rustlers and the Ooks. The Ooks were able to win the match 3-1 against the Rustlers.
