NWP Wolves host Lethbridge Kodiaks

Wolves open up scoring with a quick 3-1 lead. Kodiak rebound and tie it up at 3-3. # 13 Nolan Moes with a big kill for the Kodiaks brings the score to 9-8 for Lethbridge. A time out is called by the Wolves as the score reaches 12-9 for the Kodiaks. Kodiaks #13 Nolan Moes with an ace serve brings the Kodiak ahead 15-11. Another time out is called by Wolves coach Sam Tu'ivai, when play returns the Kodiaks take the first point, Kodiaks lead 21-12. #17 Chad Morrison with a big kill for the Wolves. Kodiaks continue to pull ahead with a 5 point lead, score 23-18. #10 Josh Dumont kills the ball to bring the scoring back up for the Wolves. Kodiaks take the first set 25-21.

Second set starts with Kodiaks having the first serve and drawing first blood. Wolves answer back with a powerful kill by #17 Chad Morrison. Big time Justice Bigstone puts up the walls for the Wolves. Wolves tie the game at 3-3 with #17 Chad Morrison up to serve. Kodiak #11 Cameron Piers shuts the Wolves down. Excellent rally ends with the Kodiaks getting another point. They now lead 5-3. #11 Josh Watson gets a beautiful ace serve and ties the game at 5-5. Kodiaks run away with the lead, score is 13-8. Wolves call a time out. Kodiaks come back strong after the time out with another point. A net serve gives Wolves back possession. Kodiaks #6 Gavin Moes gets two ace serves. Wolves call another time out. Score is 19-9 in favour of the Kodiaks. Kodiaks #6 Gavin Moes comes out strong after the time out with another ace serve. Wolves #17 Chad Morrison with the kill for the Wolves and takes the serve. Wolves #11 Josh Watson gets a point and takes the serve. Kodiaks answer back and maintain their lead 22-11. A bad touch by the Kodiaks gives the Wolves another point. From the back row, Wolves #11 Josh Watson with the powerful kill. Wolves pick up momentum and #10 Josh Dumont gets his third kill of the night. Kodiaks take the second set 25-15.

Third set opens up with Kodiaks taking the first point. Wolves answer back after an awesome rally to tie the set at 1-1. Points go back and fourth. Wolves #15 Justice Bigstone with the big block. Miscommunication from the Wolves leads to another Kodiak point. Lethbridge follows with an ace serve by #14 Nolan Moes to make the set 7-3 for the Kodiaks. Wolves call a time out. #14 Nolan Moes gets two more ace serves for Lethbridge. An out of bounds serve gives Wolves the serve. A net serve by the Wolves gives Lethbridge back the serve. The score is 11-4 for the Kodiaks. A couple net serves, and the Wolves pick up a couple points. Wolves return net serves and the score is 15-7 Kodiaks. A couple big kills by #6 Gavin Moes and the Kodiaks go up by 11. Bench player Julian Jaravata comes into the game and serves a couple points for the Wolves. The Wolves ran out of time and the set ended 25:15 for the Kodiaks. Kodiaks win 3-0.
