Kings send off Broncos in straight sets

The Red Deer Polytechnic Kings continued their winning ways, taking out the Olds College Broncos in straight sets (25-18, 25-22, 25-17) at the Ralph Klein Centre on Friday.

Maddux Greves ran the floor to help the Kings (15-1) extend their winning streak to 13 games, putting up 25 assists to go with eight digs, two aces and two blocks to earn Player of the Game honours; Colby Nemeth led the attack with 10 kills and two aces, while Noah Carlson added eight kills and five of Red Deer's 10 blocks in the match.

Meanwhile, the Broncos (10-6) had Aidyn Phillips lead the way with seven kills and three aces, while Matheus Franca and Reed Grusing added five kills of their own as Olds College saw its five-match winning streak come to an end. 

The Kings and Broncos will wrap up the weekend home-and-home at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre in Red Deer on Saturday at 8 p.m.
