Lakeland entered Friday looking for a quick victory and they got it.

The Rustlers jumped to an early lead against the Rattlers, before the visiting squad battled back to lead 18-15. Lakeland pushed it to a tie and went point for point till they took home the 27-25 victory.

In the following two sets, the Rattlers were stymied by the Rustlers' blocking and middle attack. The home side cruised the rest of the way to win 25-17 and 25-16.

Nathan Chernik won Player of the Game for Medicine Hat, while Gustavo Lobato took the honour for Lakeland.

The win improves the Rustlers to 11-7, with 4th place locked up in the North Division. They end the regular season Saturday at home against Briercrest.
