Men's Volleyball TKU Eagles v. SAIT Trojans
On November 1, the King's University Eagles Men's volleyball team took on the Sait Trojans at 8:00 p.m. in the King's University gymnasium.
In the first set, both teams did a fantastic job of communication and making amazing plays that had the crowd sitting at the edge of their seats. Trojans made great blocks and tips, 1 Jaxson Thys and 10 Logan Williams made fantastic kills, and 1 Jaxson Thys made many great serves, gaining an ace. Eagles 13 Hudson Forsberg worked the court with many great serves which gained two aces and 7 Brodie Schutz made many great blocks throughout the set. Trojans won the set 25-18.
In the second set, we once again saw both teams do a tremendous job of communicating and making great plays. Trojans 19 Gustavo Machado made many great blocks and kills while 9 Brandon Burnside made many noteworthy serves, gaining an ace. Eagles 15 Robert Bugden made an amazing kill along with 4 Tyler Fredlund, and 5 Dean Larsen made a superb ace. Trojans won the set 25-15.
In the third set, the atmosphere's intensity was brought to the next level by the Eagles' continued use of phenomenal communication tactics and worked the court with swiftness, especially from 1 Dezmond Estrada who made many remarkable saves. Eagles made many excellent blocks throughout. 13 Hudson Forsberg, 14 Tino Kwatara, and 4 Tyler Fredlund made kill after kill, and the crowd responded with enthusiasm. Trojans 3 Ryker Hutchinson did a fantastic job of working the court with quick feet gaining the team a kill. Eagles won the set 25-18.
The intensity continued in the fourth and final set with both teams striving with much enthusiasm to gain the win. Trojans made many kills, blocks, and aces. Trojans 14 Cole McDonald made an amazing ace and a kill. Eagles 4 Tyler Fredlund worked the court with swiftness which gained a tremendous kill. Many great plays were seen throughout the game, making the crowd shiver in anticipation—especially when Trojans 20 Richard Hy and Eagles 5 Dean Larsen fully committed to making saves, diving into their teams' seats! Trojans ended up winning the set 25-20.
With high liveliness in the gym's atmosphere, both teams did a fantastic hardworking job in today's game.
