Edmonton, AB - (January 24, 2026) The first Grand Prix of the 2026 ACAC indoor track season took place at the Kinsmen Sport Centre in Edmonton, hosted by Concordia University of Edmonton. Student-athletes from across the conference opened the season with strong performances across sprints, middle distance, distance, and relays.

SAIT's Nathan Woyessa captured the men's 3000m title, while Lethbridge Polytechnic's Khloe Jankowiak topped the women's 3000m field. Concordia's Ashlee Walker delivered standout performances, winning both the women's 300m and 600m events. In the relays, Lethbridge Polytechnic earned victories in the women's 4x200m and 4x400m, while SAIT claimed the men's 4x400m title.

Red Deer Polytechnic led the combined team standings with 115 points, followed closely by the Lethbridge Kodiaks with 110 and the Concordia Thunder with 85.

The ACAC indoor season continues with Grand Prix #2 hosted by Red Deer Polytechnic on Valentine's Day, before returning to the Kinsmen Sport Centre in March for the 2026 ACAC Championships.
