Lions Split Games vs. Lightning

This Saturday, the Ambrose Lions took on the St. Mary's Lighting in a fierce cross-town matchup. The girls fell to the Lighting by a score of 94 – 61. The player of the game for the Ambrose Lions was Katie Nutini who had 8 points and 9 rebounds. The Lions stuck with the Lightning for the first half before Montana Romeril took over the game and ended up with 40pts, 6 stl, 6 ast, and 3 reb. A tough loss for the Lions against a good St. Mary's team.

The men had a better result. They played a close first half with the Lightning and then jumped to a 20 point lead in the 3rd quarter. The lightning brought it closer in the 4th quarter, but were not able to overcome the deficit. The player of the game for the Lions was Chad Kelloway who had 18 points and 5 rebounds. The lions will look to continue their winning streak against Red Deer College next weekend. #GoLions
