WBB| Rattlers defeat the Kodiaks on their home turf

Oct. 26th The Kodiaks are back at home, hosting their second game of the year, taking on their rival team the Medicine Hat Rattlers.

Madi Gladstone started off the game with a beautiful foul shot that gave the Kodiaks their first point.

The teams were fighting hard in the beginning of the first quarter, both the Kodiaks and Rattles stayed on top of each others score, not letting anything easy by.

The Kodiaks manage to sneak ahead by 5 points but the Rattles were close to catch up almost passing the score of the Kodiaks, ending the first quarter off with a score of 15 to 14 for the Kodiaks.

The Kodiaks barely led the first quarter with a score of 15 and the Rattles sitting at close score of 14 to end the first quarter.

The 2nd quarter started off with amazing efforts from both ends of the court. Making it hard for each team to make an open shot on net. The Rattlers decided to start pressing the Kodiaks making them scramble to get to the hoop. This allowed the Rattlers to push ahead and gain control of the game.

A beautiful 3-pointer from Amber Karamanos forced the Kodiaks to take a time out and re-group their strategy to come back strong before the end of the of the first half. Rattlers managed to keep ahead and leave the first half score sitting at 38 to 21 for the Rattlers.

Medicine Hat Rattlers stayed ahead of the Kodiaks testing their defense and fighting hard to keep the ball out of their end. The Rattlers pulled out moves that kept the Kodiaks on their toes fighting for their chance to make one.

The Rattlers pulled far ahead of the Kodiaks by the end of the 3rd quarter with a score of 63 to 32.

Kodiaks pushed hard to try and close the gap in the 4th quarter but, were not able to get passed the Rattlers strong and aggressive defensive to make a successful shot.

With a powerful offensive and defensive display from the Rattlers, they managed to the game with a score of 76 to 45.
