Despite a valiant attempt at splitting the weekend, the GPRC Wolves dropped their Saturday rematch versus the NAIT Ooks in the GPRC Gymnasium.
The Wolves led 13-10 after the first but the Ooks took a 28-25 lead at halftime. A competitive 3rd quarter left the Ook's up three heading into the final quarter. The 4th quarter was the Ooks, as they hit a trio of threes late in the game to secure the win, 71-53. The leading scorer for the Wolves was Sophie Melin with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Sydney Hurlburt led NAIT with 21 points and 7 rebounds.
The Wolves host the Augustana Vikings next Friday in GPRC. The NAIT Ooks will travel to Kings University next Friday.
