The Wolves were ready to even out the weekend series against the Vikings. The first quarter started off with low scoring by both teams. Wolves #11 Britney Peters scored 5 points and the Vikings put up 2 – 3 pointers to go up by 5 to end the quarter.

The second quarter started strong for the Wolves. Sophie Leslie drained a 3 pointer and a steal by Heidi Derksen put the Wolves within 2. The Vikings went onto a 5-0 run which ended with a Wolves timeout. Vikings up 23-17. A few quick hoops back and forth, a GPRC fast break and the Wolves closed the gap to 6. #11 Heidi Derksen scored and was fouled late in the quarter to come within 4. Vikings called a timeout and came out strong. #12 had 3 points to go up 7. Brittany Peters responded with a bucket. Vikings drained a 3 with 20 seconds left, Vikings up 35-27 at half.

Both teams came out strong in the second half. The Vikings put a quick 10 points on the board to take a bigger lead. Wolves battled hard and closed the gap to 54-40.

#12 Sophie Melin had 6 points for the Wolves, and the Vikings got points from 5 different players in the fourth quarter. Both teams battled hard at both ends, and the game ended 66-51 for the Vikings.

The Mr. Mikes Player of the Game for the Wolves was #12 Sophie Melin with 18 points and 9 rebounds. For the Vikings #5 Jessica Haenni with 16 points and 3 rebounds.
