CALGARY, ALTA., (Nov. 10, 2018) — Shooting less than seven per cent from the field in a half of basketball is not a winning recipe.
That's what happened Saturday, as the SAIT Trojans women's basketball made just two shots from the field in the opening half as they fell 57-33 to the visiting Lethbridge College Kodiaks in their Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) game played at the Campus Centre.
"That is a number I have never seen on a scoresheet before," said Trojans head coach Bir Parmar. "But despite the worst offensive performance that I have ever been a part of, we were not out of that game. We went basket for basket with them in the third before falling apart again in the fourth quarter."
SAIT falls to 3-3 on the season. Lethbridge College moves to 4-2.
"From the top down, it was a nightmare," Parmar added. "A complete failure to execute a plan. There wasn't one part of the game we weren't outworked at. I'm just flabbergasted at the performance."
