The Nationally Ranked Broncos didn't lose a step over the Christmas Break, running away with the victory of the Lions. While the Christmas Break did allow some Lions to get healthy as well as have the team bring in some more support with the likes of Kyla Deighton and Tegan McArthur joining the squad for the 2nd half of the semester, the Lions couldn't handle the high powered Broncos offense tonight. Vetrans Brittney Thibeaux and Michaela Allen-Gullion, led their squad to a 76 point victory. Nothing went right for the Lions, forced difficult shots by the Olds defense along with unforced errors really lead to their demise. Player of the game, Kristina Bajovic, had a strong game, shooting particularly well from 3 point range whole Caitlyn Hetrick was recognized for the Lions. The wins moves the Olds Broncos to a record of 8-2 while the Lions fall to 3-8. The Lions will try to regroup before next weekend's games as they hit the road, traveling to Briercrest and Medicine Hat.
