Rustlers lose at home against the Huskies

The Rustlers lose game two of the doubleheader at home this weekend against the visiting Keyano Huskies. It was a slow start to the ball game from both sides. The Rustlers struggled to find a way to score and found themselves trailing all quarter. A three by Ally Pilgrim closed the gap, but the Rustlers were still down by 4 pts going into the second quarter. The game continued to be a physical one as both put pressure on the ball. The Huskies were able to interrupt the Rustlers offense by pushing them far outside the three the Rustlers were able to find a way to score and take the lead going into the half. It was a back and forth game in the third, it continued to be a very physical game coming from both teams. The Rustlers head into the last quarter up by 3 pts. The Rustlers struggled to score in as their last made field goal was at the 8-minute mark of the 4th quarter. Huskies took the lead back from the Rustlers and were able to keep the Rustlers from scoring. A couple of late free throws ended by the Huskies had them up by 4 points with 3 seconds left. A last ditch 3 point attempt by the Rustlers did not fall and they lose today's game 42-46. The player of the game for the Rustlers #11 Kaitlyn Tonita with 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals. The player of the game for the visiting Huskies #23 Moiyan Toure with 16 points, 15 rebounds and 5 steals.
