St. Mary's scored the first 14 points of the game and never were in serious danger as they beat the Ambrose Lions 77-52 at the Lions Den in Calgary.
Emily Wagner had her third 30 plus point night of the season along with 10 rebounds and three steals to lead the way and take player of the game honors.
The Lightning completed the weekend sweep of their cross town rivals with consistent shooting, many uncontested layups and outside conversions and great execution of their game plan. The team have won five of their last six games and have put themselves in third place in the south division with a 9-5 record.
Paige Goertzen had the two best nights of her ACAC career against the Lightning with 23 and 18 points in the two losses over the weekend as the Lions drop to 3-12 for the season.
