Wolves Host Eagles for a Weekend Series
Wolves host The Kings University College Eagles for a pair of games this weekend. This will be the last games of the season for the Wolves. A great turnout for the last Friday night game of the season. Adrenaline Athletics Cheer Team highly entertained the crowd at half time. The Wolves honoured all the graduating players from the Basketball Program.
Wolves opened the quarter with a 3 point bucket from #9 Sophie Leslie. #10 Lilee Burke-Stasiuk scored the next 11 points for the Wolves including 3 from behind the arch. The Eagles did not lighten up as the half ended 19-19.
Both teams off to a slow start to the start the 2nd. No hoops scored until the 3rd minute. The Eagles went on a 5-0 run before the Wolves drained 1 points from the foul line and then Britney Peters but their first field goal in of the half. Lille Burke-Stasiuk ties the game up with 3 minutes left in the quarter, 24-24. The half ended 25-27 Eagles.
The 3rd quarter was all Eagles. The Wolves only scored 2 points in the quarter and it ended 40-27 Eagles.
Wolves came out strong in the 4th however the Eagles came out on top 60-42.
The Mr. Mikes Player of the Game for the Kings Eagles was #7 Rosemanie James and from the Grande Prairie Regional College Wolves #10 Lilee Burke-Stasiuk. Both teams are back in action tomorrow at 1pm.
