Wolves Close out the 2018/2019 Season

The GPRC Wolves host The Kings University College Eagles for their final game of the season. Wolves looking to end the season with a win.

Both teams exchanged hoops up and down the floor for the first 5 minutes. Britney Peters drains a field goal from Sophie Melin to go up 2 points. Eagles call a time out. GPRC's Sophie Melin hits another 2 and the Wolves go up 14-8 with 3 minutes left. #9 Sophie Leslie hits a 3 off the backboard to go up 17-11. #23 Marta Burchett from Kings steals the ball for a layup. Eagles come within 3 points and Wolves call a timeout. The quarter ends 20-18 for the Wolves.

The Kings came out strong the 2nd quarter. Shutting down the Wolves offensive, they outscored the Wolves 16-5 and they went into half time up 34-25. Top scorer for the Eagles through 2 quarters is #6 Kenna Jacobson with 8 points and for GPRC both #11 and #12, Britny Peters and Sophie Melin had 6 points each.

Both teams shutting down the offensive plays through 3 minutes of the 3rd. #21 Gaddiel Karmuanya for the Eagles puts the first points of the quarter on the board. The quarter ended 53-39 for the Eagles.

Both teams played hard before the game ended 70-57 for the Eagles. That completes the season for the GPRC Wolves.

The Mr. Mikes Player of the Game for the Kings Eagles was #15 Brittany Veldman with 15 points and 9 rebounds. From the Grande Prairie Regional College Wolves #12 Sophie Melin with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals.
