The No. 10 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association ranked University of Alberta Augustana Vikings women's basketball team dribbled into Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre's Canada Natural Gymnasium tonight with a record of 15 wins and 5 losses.

The host Keyano College Huskies sport a record of 13 wins and 7 losses.

Both teams will be returning to the same hardwood in two weeks' time for the 2018-2019 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championships to be held February 28 - March 1, 2019.

The Huskies rely heavily on the one-two punch of centre Moiyan Toure 14.4 points per game 12.5 rebounds per game and guard Augusta Kievisaite 14.3 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game.

The Vikings feature Jessica Haenni 15.4 points per game and Emma van Bruinessen at 8.1 rebounds per game.

Both teams opened the game by swishing three pointers, Georgia Sherstan for the Huskies and Jessica Haenni for the Vikings. A low scoring period 11-9 for Huskies

Two free throws and a three-point play by Aliyah Johnson in dying seconds of third period give Huskies a 47-37 lead.

Vikings'  Hannah Mitchell three pointer closes the margin as the Huskies lead 51-47 with 4:47 remaining in regulation.

Despite being triple teamed, Toure scores back-to-back hoops making it 55-49 Huskies.

Huskies win their 14th game of the season 63-52.
