Rustlers Silent The Thunder

The Lakeland College Rustlers played host to the Concordia Thunder on Friday, November 15. With the Rustlers coming out with a hot start the Thunder was put on defence early. The Rustlers would take control of the game. With the Thunder falling behind in the first quarter with the score being 24-12 in favour of Lakeland College Rustlers. The Thunder would slow the offence of the Rustlers down in the second quarter. With the help coming from defensive rebounds. The Rustlers would continue to pull away from the Thunder Scoring 16 points in the quarter making the score 40-23 going into the second half of play. The Concordia Thunder were wanting to come out hot in the second half of the game. With the Rustlers Getting into foul troubles in the 3rd quarter it made Thunders jobs a bit easier. with the Thunder taking that quarter they were able to bring the score back by a small margin. The Rustlers would continue to hold the lead heading into the 4th quarter with a score of 48-33. With the Rustlers finishing the game out strong they would go to close the game out 70-49.
