Briercrest Women's Basketball hosted Millar College in a preseason exhibition matchup Wednesday night.
The Clippers jumped out to and early 11-0 lead in the opening minutes thanks to good defense and shooting. They put the pressure on and extended their lead to 20-0 at the end of the opening quarter.
Briercrest kept their momentum rolling into the second quarter. Extending their lead to 30 points with 5 minutes remaining in the first half. In the final minutes of the half, Briercrest's solid defense and good offence allowed them to take a 43-3 lead into the break.
At the start of the second half, the teams went back and forth with even scoring in the opening minutes. Briercrest came on strong though in the final minutes and kept pushing and extending their lead. The Clippers were ahead 61-10 at the end of the third.
In the final quarter, Millar came out strong on a 6-0 run. Briercrest kept shooting well and continued to keep pushing. They took a 76-17 lead in the final minutes and the night ended with a 79-18 Briercrest win!
