CALGARY, ALTA., (Nov. 19, 2021) - The SAIT Trojans women's basketball team got the job done Friday night.
The Trojans moved to 3-0 on the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) season after edging the Ambrose University Lions 67-63 in their contest played inside SAIT's Campus Centre.
Ambrose falls to 2-1 on the season.
Brook Baker led the Trojans in scoring with 20 points, including two free throws with 16 seconds left to ice the win. Teammate Ava Kearl added 13 of her own.
Ambrose's Marin Barkey led all scorers with 23 points.
The teams will wrap up their weekend set Saturday afternoon at Ambrose in a 5pm start.
Barkey and Kearl were named Players of the Game for their respective teams.
