On a mild January evening, the Medicine Hat College (MHC) Rattlers hit the court for their first game of 2022. The ladies came out flying and handed the visiting Ambrose University Lions an 83-59 set back. A quick start saw the Rattlers jump out to a 23-9 lead after the first quarter. The Lions had a better second quarter outscoring MHC 19-17 but still trailed 40-26. The Rattlers had a strong third quarter and pushed the lead to 66-37. When the final whistle sounded, the Rattlers had earned an 83-59 victory. The Rattlers were led, by player of the game Jasmine Gardiner who finished with 20 points and 2 rebounds while the Lions' Makenna Graham was player of the game for her squad with 13 points and 4 rebounds. The two teams will meet again tomorrow in Calgary.
