Lakeland Rustlers Vs. NAIT Ooks

The Lakeland Rustlers took on the NAIT Ooks tonight at Lakeland College at 6pm. The Rustlers took on a strong start leading the Ooks 18-7 in the first quarter with Hailey Somers scoring 7 of their 18 points. The Rustlers used their momentum to take on the second quarter and took a 29 point lead right before half-time. The Ooks had their points spread evenly across the board. Going into the 3rd quarter, the Ooks took a strong stance and went on a defensive run with many stops outscoring the Rustlers 15-19. The second half of the game was full of actions and a lot of calls with both teams being in bonus in the 3rd and 4th quarter. The Rustlers used their lead to finish off the game, scoring 20 points in the 4th with many belonging to #14 Bilge Topaloglu off assists from #5 Tori Dougan. Not to mention a very strong defensive effort from #10 Lucy Wilde. The Rustlers take home the W, 81-52. The Players of the game were #11, Hailey Somers, of the LC Rustlers and #10 Lucy Wilde off the Ooks.
