WBB | Kodiaks Make 3rd Quarter Comeback to Keep Winning Streak Alive as the Defeat Ambrose Lions 67-58

Ambrose pushed through the Kodiaks early holding the lead throughout the quarter while the Kodiaks tried to fight back, #7 Montana Berezay, and the Kodiaks did just that as she led the Kodiaks in the quarter with points collecting 3 to push the Kodiaks back into the game as they closed out the 1st quarter tied at 10.

Ambrose had full control of the quarter seamlessly running away with the game as the Kodiaks struggled to generate any offense only picking up 3 points in the quarter due to the Lions display of textbook defense. The Kodiaks trailed 21-13 as they headed into halftime.

The Kodiaks came into the 2nd half hot knowing they had to step up their game if they wanted a chance of getting back into the match. Kodiaks Kirsten Barwegen gave her team the boost they needed collecting 9 points in the quarter to make a comeback. Although it wasn't enough as the Lions collected some key points late in the quarter to push them back in front leading 41-38 headed into the 4th quarter.

Similar to the 3rd quarter, the Kodiaks came in hot, jumping out in front of Ambrose picking up the lead. The Kodiaks would not back down picking up crucial points late in the quarter to keep them in front as the Kodiaks showed off their excellent offense and playmaking skills. The Lions did everything they could to fight back but it wasn't enough as the Kodiaks managed to hold the Lions off taking the game by a score of 67-58.
