Rattlers avenge earlier defeat, beat Broncos 72-51

A return match at home saw a much different result for the Medicine Hat College Rattlers in women's ACAC basketball action.  A shorthanded rattlers squad fell in Olds on Friday night but the return match on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in the Big Marble Go Centre so a full Rattlers team defeat the visiting Olds College Broncos.  The Rattlers opened the game with a strong first quarter outscoring the Broncos 16-11.  The second quarter was much closer.  The Rattlers took it 17-16 and led 33-27 going in to the intermission.  A huge third quarter saw the rattlers blow the game open.  They outscored the Broncos 24-9 and extended their lead to 21 heading in to the final quarter.  a 15-15 fourth quarter saw the Rattlers take the game 72-51 to avenge Friday night's loss.  The players of the game were #9 Alli Taylor for the Broncos with 4 blocks, 3 steals, 3 rebounds and 2 points, and #9 Abby LaRochelle from the Rattlers with 16 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
