Wolves host Lakeland Rustlers for a weekend series

The GPRC Wolves welcomed the Lakeland Rustlers to their gym for a weekend series. After falling short on Friday night, the Wolves were looking for a win Saturday afternoon.

Lakeland starts the scoring while the Wolves answers back. Both teams exchange buckets through the quarter, #9 Sophie Leslie ties the game at 9 with a 3 point make. With 35 seconds left in the quarter #8 Jayden Demchuk for GPRC makes a 3 point shot to put the Wolves up 1, 12-11 Wolves.

#20 Raylene Badger draws a foul early, going to line, 1-1. Wolves goes up 13-11. #14 Bilge Topaloglu responds with a lay up to tie the game at 13. Baskets are exchanged throughout the quarter until the Rustlers pull ahead by 6. Lakeland leads 21-15 at the half way point. #9 Sophie Leslie drains a 3 to bring the Wolves within 3. Rustlers remain aggressive and finish the half up 13. Lakeland lead 32:19.

#13 Thaila Petke for the Wolves opened the scoring with a 3 point make. The Rustlers responded and continued to execute the offense. Score 26:63 after 3 quarters.
