Ambrose Lions host the Olds College Broncos as they battle for playoff position

Calgary, AB – The Ambrose Lions faced the Olds College Broncos on Friday night in a game with serious playoff implications. The two teams are in close competition for the last playoff in their conference, so this was an important game. The match was close at halftime, with the Broncos leading by a score of 43-34, but then the Broncos took over in the second half. The final score of the game was 78-55 with the Broncos winning in convincing fashion.

Alli Taylor (#9) had an excellent game for the Broncos, scoring 18 points and adding 15 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. The Lions had a great game from Nya Gach (#9) who scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. 

The player of the game for the Broncos was Amelia Furst (#5) who scored 12 points, adding 9 rebounds and 3 assists. The player of the game for the Lions was Makenna Graham (#5) who scored 7 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

The Lions' next game is on Friday, February 18th against Lethbridge College. The Broncos' next game is also on Friday, February 18th and they will be playing Red Deer Polytechnic.
