Ooks Claim Victory Over Vikings

The NAIT Ooks played against the Augustana Vikings in the NAIT Gymnasium on Sunday afternoon. The Ooks defeat the Vikings 62-42!

The first quarter was intense as both teams played aggressive defense and offense. The Ooks scored most of their points from the 3-point line, with Aphia Ward, #4, making three of them, scoring 9 points for the Ooks. The Ooks complete more of their shots, leading at the end of the quarter 20-11.

During the second quarter, the Vikings increased their pressure on the Ooks at the 3-point line, forcing the Ooks to make other offensive plays. The Ooks still held onto their lead at the end of the half, 25-23.

Both the Ooks and the Vikings played with intensity in the third quarter. The defensive pressure from the Ooks and Vikings continued. The Ooks led 39-32 over the Vikings at the end of the quarter.

The fourth quarter was a slower pace than the rest of the game. It was visible that both teams were getting tired. The Ooks and the Vikings both took lots of shots; the Ooks' shots fell, whereas the Vikings' did not. The Ooks won the game 62-42.
