The Lakeland Rustlers take on the NAIT Ooks tonight at 6 pm at Lakeland College. Entering into the first quarter, the Ooks and Rustlers were head to head. The Ooks used their strong defensive full-court press to apply pressure on the Rustlers holding them back to only 18 points in the first quarter. However, in the second quarter, the Rustlers fired back to take a strong lead before half time 38-30. Both teams came out to play in the second half and were tied near the end of the third quarter 50-50. The NAIT Ooks executed on their defensive pressure to finish on offence. The Rustlers, however, still remained in the lead after the third quarter 57-50. In order to come out victorious, the Rustlers took the intensity to the Ooks in hopes to break away in the fourth quarter. The Rustlers pushed the pace, scoring many points on fast break opportunities and took a 20 point lead in the 4th quarter. The Rustlers finished the game 83-59 and remain undefeated in the North. The players of the game are #9 Alana Olson off the Lakeland College & #15 Hallie Watt off the NAIT Ooks.
