WBB| Kodiaks Sweep Olds Broncos in Weekend Series With Tight Finish

The Kodiaks looked for the weekend sweep against the Broncos as they faced off in the 2^nd half of their back-to-back showdown

Courtney Demeter and Kitawna Sparks got things started for the Kodiaks leading the charge collectively with 15 points and being strong all over the court giving the Kodiaks a boost while the Broncos struggled to keep up and gain any traction. The Kodiaks held the lead after the 1^st quarter with a score of 22-16.

The Kodiaks continued to put the pressure on the Broncos while maintaining the momentum from the first quarter, towards the end of the half the Broncos began to pick up the pace a little bit, closing the gap between them and the Kodiaks. Thanks to Kodiaks #10 Kitawna Spark, her offensive skill has kept her team ahead picking up 9 more points in the quarter giving her 18 points in the first half putting the Kodiaks up 39-35 at the half.

The Broncos were trying to make something big happen to get them right back in the game, and Broncos #13 Makayla Rose battled offensively and defensively to help her team, Rose picked up 6 points in the 3^rd in an effort to help but was no match to Kodiaks #10 Kitawna Sparks who was a force to be reckoned with as she picked 8 points bringing her total up to 26 and keeping the Kodiaks up 62-55 heading into the 4^th quarter.

The Broncos tied the game back up shortly into the 4^th quarter making the game a real nail bitter as both teams tried to get an edge on one another and maintain the lead. The Kodiaks got a big jump going 4 for 8 from the 3-point line to give them some breathing room which would be enough to secure the victory for the Kodiaks taking the game 81-73 and the weekend series 2-0.
