CUE came out of the break going on a 7-1 run quickly forcing the Rattlers to take their second timeout of the half. The Thunder continued to score on fast breaks while Medicine Hat failed to execute on offence. Medicine Hat seemed to be making one too many passes and not taking advantages as they presented. The thunder extended once again and led 29-10 halfway through the quarter. Both teams started scoring a little more balanced as time continued to run off the clock. As the half rang the Thunder led 38-16.

The second half started with an energy lull in the gym. Down over 20, the home crowd seemed subdued early as the Thunder continued to add to their lead. More than doubling the Rattlers, the thunder led 51-22 with 3:50 left in the quarter. As the game progressed on the game slowed a bit with teams trying to use the full clock and run their offence. As a result scoring slowed, but became more efficient with neither team trying to force a bad play. Concordia recorded 3+ blocks in the quarter and stymied any Rattler chances from the paint. As the quarter ended the scoreboard showed a 63-27 Thunder lead.

The fourth quarter started with the Thunder once again extending their lead. Up 40 points, they continued to pile on and get to the line. The much smaller Rattlers struggled once again and were committing too many unforced errors and turnovers. The bigger thunder were able to use their size to defend the paint very well forcing poor quality chances. The Thunder continued to add on late as the Rattlers once again stalled. As the game came to a close the Thunder had won 83-32.
