Trojans Fall Early to the Thunderous Lightning

The St. Mary's Lightning came out firing with an explosive first quarter to lead the Trojans 27 to 13 by the end of the first quarter. Brooke Baker and Kyler Varga tried to even the score going into the second but the Lightning's Jazmyn Kellog and Andria Stitt led their team to end the half at 41 to 24. The Trojans came out firing in the third quarter but it was no match for the Lightning defence. The Lightning held strong and ended the third quarter at 56 to 36. The Lightning maintained their lead going into the fourth quarter and held strong to win the game with Jazmyn leading her team with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Players of the game were Macy Mulholland for the Trojans going 4 for 9 from the field with 9 points, 3 steals and 5 rebounds. While the Lightning's Andria Stitt led her team to a victory with 16 points, 2 steals and 7 rebounds.
