Lakeland's women's team has their first three-game win streak of the season and are poised to make it four.
The Rustlers hosted the King's Eagles Friday evening, a squad just below them in the standings. Lakeland got off to a quick start offesnively, scoring 29 points in the opening quarter. At the half, they lead 52-34, thanks in part to strong play down low from their bigs.
In the second half, the Eagles were able to win each quarter, eventually cutting the deficit to 10. However, the Rustlers rolled through their lineup regardless of the score in a confortable 73-63 win.
Bethany Montebon was Player of the Game for Lakeland, Cameryn Hrycun earned the nod for King's.
The Rustlers improve to 6-7, as they head to Edmonton on Saturday for the rematch.
