Our Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves welcomed the NAIT Ooks to the NWP Gym for a Saturday afternoon match.

The first quarter begins with a basket from #20 Raylene Badger of the NWP Wolves. NAIT Ooks gets their first points on the board from #9 Abi Payne shooting 2 successful free throws to tie the start of the match. The first half of the first quarter the score is back and forth, and NAIT calls a time out at 6:6. Following the time out NAIT Ooks get 4 consecutive baskets giving them a 9 point lead. The end of the first quarter ends with NAIT in the lead 17:10.

The second quarter opens with a basket form NAIT extending their lead to 9. #15 Paige Snyder of the Wolves pushes through and gives another basket bringing the score to 20:25 with NAIT maintaining the lead. NAIT makes a strong steal and hustles down the court for another basket bringing the score to 34:22. #4 Jules Froment drains a 3-pointer and brings the score to 24:40 for the Ooks. The score going into half time is 27:40 with NAIT in the lead.

As we head into the exciting second half NAIT continues to expand their lead to 15 points, with a score if 30:45. Wolves call a time out with a score of 32:49. Following the time out we see a basket from, NWP Wolves #6 Abby Crown. The NAIT Ooks extend their lead to 22 points with a basket from #10 Elizabeth Salcedo. The third quarter ends with a final 3-pointer at the buzzer from #10 Elizabeth Salcedo bringing the score to 39:64 with a lead for NAIT.

The final quarter begins with back to back baskets from the Wolves bringing the score to 44:64. NAIT calls time out at 45:71 with a 26 point lead. NAIT scores the first basket following the time out. The back and forth match continues and NAIT continues to extend their lead. #10 Sam Blum scores a 2 pointer to bring the score to 47:80. The final score of the match is 48:80 with the NAIT Ooks coming out victorious.
