For the Broncos (7-11), Blu Rose led the charge with 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Player of the Game Meghan Swartz added eight points and five rebounds.

The court was tilted in the Queens' favour from the opening tip, as they jumped to an early 11-4 lead, which they maintained through the remainder of the first quarter to end the frame up 18-11. The momentum only kept building from there, as the Queens posted a 13-0 run to begin the second quarter to build their lead up to 20, which the Broncos would cut to 38-22 by halftime.

Red Deer continued to stretch things out in the third quarter to take a 60-35 lead before blowing things wide open in the fourth, extending the lead out as far as 40 with 3:18 to go.

Both teams will head north next weekend, with the Queens battling the NAIT Ooks and the Broncos travelling to Grande Prairie to match up with the Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves; both matchups will tip off at 6 p.m. on Friday.
