Women's Basketball TKU Eagles v. NWP Wolves

On January 10, the King's University Eagles Women's Basketball team took on North Western Polytechnic Wolves at The King's University gymnasium at 6:00 pm. 

 

In the first quarter,  the Wolves came out strong, led by Samantha Blum, who displayed excellent offensive play and ball handling. Emma Van Dijk showcased her offensive skills with a great hook shot, and Paige Synder contributed with several solid shots. For the Eagles, Alyssa Yorke was a force on both ends of the court, contributing with offense, defense, rebounds, and blocks. Aneilia Ayotte impressed with her strong layups, while Kayla Soetart displayed great ball skills, blocked shots, and scored effectively. Jordana Rivet also knocked down a key three-pointer. Overall, the Eagles' defense was outstanding, setting the tone for the game.

 

In the second quarter, the Wolves saw strong contributions from Olivia Rozinsky, who excelled offensively, and Alexandra Mills, who played tough defense. Peyton Breen added a key rebound shot, and C-aria Stucklschwagier had a great layup and block. Emma Van Dijk continued her solid play with another great layup. On the Eagles' side, Megan Aleman facilitated the offense with great passes and a layup, while Kayla Soetart connected on a three-pointer. Jamie Bunting contributed with a layup and smart passes, and Tori Day hit a series of effective shots. Jordana Rivet knocked down another three-pointer, keeping the Eagles ahead with their strong offensive and defensive effort.

 

In the third quarter, the Wolves saw good individual plays from Alexandra Mills, who made a nice layup, and Alyssa Gallant, who sank a great three-pointer. Hailey Keith brought strong defense, and Olivia Rozinsky added another important shot. The Eagles responded with Alyssa Yorke continuing to be a defensive presence, while Ella Majeau made a key shot. Megan Aleman had a fantastic quarter, making four layups to extend the Eagles' lead. Taylor Felipek contributed with both shots and blocks, while Jamie Bunting also made an impact with a great shot. Desiree Anderson capped off the quarter with a three-pointer, further cementing the Eagles' commanding lead.

 

In the fourth and final quarter, the Wolves tried to battle back, with Alexandra Mills hitting a crucial three-pointer and Paige Synder making another solid shot. However, the Eagles continued their dominance, with Jordana Rivet scoring a layup, and Aneilia Ayotte following suit with another strong layup. Hailey Yorke added a block to the defense, and Taylor Felipek scored two important shots, ensuring the Eagles kept control of the game.
