Quarter finals Game #2

this second quarterfinal game of the Afternoon was electric as the #1 seed in the south, the SAIT Trojans took on the #4 seed Augustana, Vikings. And matches like this, you would not expect it to be such a back-and-forth game, but it was an amazing way to start the playoff runs for both of the teams. The first period both teams looked evenly matched as they played really good defence, but these teams can make the tough shots with only a three point difference after the first. SAIT shifted gears in the second period and showcased the reason they were ranked number one in the south. At half seat took the lead to an 11 point difference even though it doesn't seem like a huge separation state was picking up momentum in Augustana needed to regroup.  After halftime Augustana, kept on going with runs, but SAIT wouldn't stay quiet they went to go on their own runs the third period was very similar to the first as both teams scored nearly equal point for point making the lead only 10 points. The middle of the fourth is when Augustana got their first lead change of the half they were now up by two on a 6 to 8 point run #5 Kyler Varga from SAIT came down and hit a three and that sealed the game. There was a couple minutes left, but Augustana couldn't pull back and SAIT took the win ending the game 66 to 61 for the Saint Trojans. Both teams were tough competitors and will bring the heat for their next games in the championship    

Player of the game for SAIT Trojans was #14 McKenzie Mrazek with 12 points and 14 rebounds

Player of the game for Augustana Vikings was #5 Mallory Ogilvie with 17 points, 4 rebounds and 5steals being the highest score in the game.
