Jenna Suokko Honoured as the 2015-16 ACAC Women’s Hockey Rookie of the Year

The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference is proud to announce that Jenna Suokko of the Olds College Broncos has been selected as the ACAC Women's Hockey Rookie of the Year.

The first year forward from Tampere, Finland, was an integral force with the inaugural Olds College Broncos Women's Hockey team. She led the Broncos in scoring, with 12 points (8G & 4A), in 22 games. Jenna also shared time with the National Finland Development team during the year, and her time with the National team was highlighted with a Silver Medal at the Nations Cup in January, losing 4-3 in OT to Team Canada.

"Jenna was an absolute pleasure to coach and we are very proud of Jenna on her accomplishments this year. With her work ethic and determination, she helped guide our team in many successes in our first year in the ACAC. Any time you can bring in a player like Jenna who has international experience, you know that her compete level and desire for success will be high. Jenna demonstrated her ability impact the game consistently throughout the year and set the tone for our program in years to come."
